How much does a lift cost in India?

Every HLA lift is made to the measurements of your building, so there is no catalogue price. Here is the honest range, what moves it, and what a quote should include.

The real cost of a lift

For a private home in India, most HLA installations fall between the figures below. That covers the lift supplied, mechanically erected and commissioned, with a 3-year warranty.

₹8,00,000 – ₹18,00,000typical range for a home lift. Does your project not fit it? Contact us and we will tell you plainly what it needs.
Where different projects usually sit
ProjectPlace in the rangeWhat it usually means
G+1 duplex or low-riseLower endTwo stops, hydraulic drive, manual swing doors, stainless steel cabin.
G+2 to G+3 villaMiddleThree or four stops, automatic sliding doors, a more styled cabin.
G+4 villa or glass shaftUpper end, or aboveFour or five stops, a steel and glass shaft, a designer cabin.

What moves the price

  1. Number of stops. This is the biggest factor. More floors mean more rail, more landing doors, more brackets, more cable and more installation time.
  2. The shaft. A brick or RCC shaft built by your own contractor is the most economical path. If we supply and erect a steel frame with safety glass, the fabrication and glazing move you towards the upper half of the range. Compare the two.
  3. Doors. Manual swing doors are light, economical and good for tight stairwells. Automatic sliding doors open at the push of a button, need a wider opening and a door operator, and add to the cost.
  4. Cabin finish. Plain stainless steel is durable and timeless. Glass panels, etched or coloured metal finishes, special lighting and stone floor inlays move the price within the range.

Why a very low quote needs questions

A price far below the range is not always a bargain. Ask what it leaves out, because the cost often comes back later in civil or safety work. These are the questions worth asking any supplier.

  • How deep a pit? A deep pit means more digging and waterproofing on your side.
  • Is a machine room needed on the terrace? That is extra civil work. Our hydraulic lifts need no overhead machine room.
  • What power supply? A three-phase demand can mean a new connection. HLA home lifts run on a single-phase supply.
  • Is emergency lowering included, or sold later?
  • Who arranges scaffolding and access? It should be written down.

What every HLA quote covers

  • The lift car and its structural frame, made to your measurements.
  • A control valve block from an established maker.
  • Return to the nearest floor in a power cut, a manual release knob and a GSM-based intercom.
  • Mechanical erection, wiring and tuning of the ride.
  • Load testing, safety checks and a formal handover in your presence.
  • A 3-year warranty and 12 months of free planned maintenance.
Prices depend on your site. The only price that counts is a written quote after we see your plan or visit the site.
